Easter is right around the corner, and even with everything that’s happening right now, I still think it’s good to try and find things to celebrate when you can!
Though Easter may look a little different again this year with COVID vaccinations waiting to be rolled out, (We know it looked VERY different last year!) but we can try and keep the holiday spirit alive by putting together a few DIY crafts and decorations for everyone and your little ones to enjoy.
THE EGG
The egg is a symbol of new life. It has been associated with festivals celebrating spring. From a Christian perspective, Easter eggs are said to represent Jesus’ emergence from the tomb and resurrection.
Do some drawing on the eggs and make them friendly! Your children’s favorite woodland creatures have come to life!
EASTER CENTERPIECES
These charming yet simple Easter table centerpieces are full of inspiration to get you ready for your Easter brunch.
TULIP BOUQUETS
Tulips are a classic choice for springtime decor. They are known to be one of the first flowers to bloom in springtime. Easter tulips have become a worldwide tradition to have on Easter Sunday.
If you missed my last blog about “How to be your own Florist” check it out! To create the bouquet, remember to take one stem at a time and remove all the leaves except the one closest to the blossom. Use lots of foliage. This makes it easier to achieve a better shape. It holds the arrangement together, both structurally and visually. Although with the Tulips, you can also just go solo in the vase.
EASTER BAKING
Add Darell Lea’s Speckled Milk Chocolate Easter Eggs on your baking treats! It brings up the Easter festiveness by just topping them up.
